Those Texans have a problem. See, their highways are just too damn puny for all of their SUVs. There's no breathing room on the interstates, 4 lanes just don't cut it when your Hummer takes up two at a time. It's hard to get those suckers up to 70 or 80 miles an hour where they really burn through the gas. So, fortunately someone came up with a solution. Build an even bigger highway. A really big highway. We're talking big here people. The corridor would be a quarter mile ACROSS, ...

Just to clean out the

Just to clean out the "Absolutely Stupid Crap that I may want to post about at some point to further a comedic purpose" folder, here are some things that are mostly related to each other. We start on the Christmas theme: The Star Wars Christmas Album, featuring Bon Jovi singing "R2-D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas". Which brings me to a link about absolutely disgusting food, which is (very) thinly connected to the C3P0 cereal. Well, back to the Mundane

Well, back to the Mundane part of the ramble for a moment. Christmas was great, we had the house full and it was really nice to just be relaxed. I did still do some wrapping at the last minute (with 24 hours to spare, which is a huge improvement from the usual 6 or 8 hours I usually end up with), but once that was done things were very relaxed. We went to the hockey mass at the Corel Centre on Christmas Eve, which you shouldn't do with me unless you are prepared to hear some irreverent ...

Lots and lots of things

Lots and lots of things happened since I last posted, the most important was finding out that cousin Angie and other friends we know of are safe and sound after Sunday's earthquake. While I was in my warm holiday cocoon and taking a TV and internet break (and therefore ignorant of world events) truly awful things were happening to people, it's seems wrong to think of our safe little world here. Words don't convey it really, but I'm a lucky man.

Oh man. I'm hoping nobody got the kids any of these: Scary Knitted Ski Masks. They would basically get anything they wanted; candy, my wallet, whatever, just don't hurt me.
