  I was captivated by Wired's article on Shai Agassi, an entrepreneur from Israel who believes he can reboot the car industry in a fascinating way with a brilliant take on electric vehicles.  The article introduced me to the (apparently) growing concept of buying a car but leasing the batteries, which seems to make a lot of sense.   Where is Bob?

  The best piece of writing I scanned today came from Where is Bob? which may or may not be a fake, but is definitely a fun read.  The gist is that Bob is an unpleasant manager who is always away from the office, and lies pathologically about it.  I highly recommend you start at the beginning and read from there, there are only a few posts to catch up on.  It had me laugh out loud a few times.

  The Surprise is all Kinder’s

  First off, apparently you can't buy Kinder Surprise eggs in the US, for some reason.  They allege that the parts are too small and children might choke on them. Now, it seems that Germany is going to follow suit and ban them because: The children's committee of the German parliament fears children might mistake the toys contained in the eggs for food and swallow them.   Detroit is tough

  How tough? Thought you would never ask.... Even their mayor has violated his parole more than once. That's how tough. It's almost comedic that this guy was the most charismatic, successful politician in the whole city, (he did win after all) and he currently has multiple (!) legal cases on the go. Not that we can throw too many stones here in Ottawa however.... What is it about mayors these days? Who elects these guys?

  Take the fun

  Cael has of late been getting a little more philosophical in his views on waiting and patience.  This is a huge change for a 4 year old who until recently could become impatient in mid-jump waiting to hit the ground again.  His new zen-like state of existence can best be summed up by his recent thoughts on driving to Arnprior: "Mom, I don't take the drive, I just take the fun." Now if that kid doesn't have it figured out, I don't know who does.
