{"id":1057,"date":"2008-02-12T13:55:07","date_gmt":"2008-02-12T18:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/2008\/02\/12\/runnin-with-the-devil\/"},"modified":"2008-02-12T13:55:07","modified_gmt":"2008-02-12T18:55:07","slug":"runnin-with-the-devil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/2008\/02\/12\/runnin-with-the-devil\/","title":{"rendered":"Runnin&#8217; With the Devil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a quick one, but man I have to say, take 3 minutes and give this a listen.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s the isolated vocal track of David Lee Roth doing <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wfmu.org\/freeform\/2008\/01\/david-lee-roth.html\">Running with the Devil<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s funny at first when you hear his little squawks out of context of the music, but I have to hand it to the guy, he sounds pretty darn good for completely unaccompanied.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s better than I would have imagined, for sure.\u00c2\u00a0 I always wonder just how much studio &#8220;magic assistance&#8221; artists get, but from this it&#8217;s pretty clear there&#8217;s not much they have done for him.\u00c2\u00a0 Although I guess this could be the cleaned-up vocal track&#8230;.
