{"id":2321,"date":"2010-10-15T08:12:45","date_gmt":"2010-10-15T12:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/?p=2321"},"modified":"2010-10-15T08:12:45","modified_gmt":"2010-10-15T12:12:45","slug":"xkcds-tech-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/15\/xkcds-tech-support\/","title":{"rendered":"xkcd&#8217;s Tech Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oh, man does this comic from xkcd ever nail the frustration of calling a help desk PERFECTLY.\u00c2\u00a0 As a geek there are few things more teeth-gnashingly horrible than having to call a help desk for a problem you know you can&#8217;t fix yourself, but you also know IN YOUR BONES that the poor guy that first picks up the phone definitely can&#8217;t fix it either.\u00c2\u00a0 A code word would be really really awesome, and of course immediately unusable because the knowledge of such a word would leak immediately and render it powerless because everyone would just start babbling &#8220;shibboleet&#8221;
