{"id":782,"date":"2006-10-13T11:11:11","date_gmt":"2006-10-13T16:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/2006\/10\/13\/10-foot-tall-dope-plants-stump-troops\/"},"modified":"2006-10-13T11:11:11","modified_gmt":"2006-10-13T16:11:11","slug":"10-foot-tall-dope-plants-stump-troops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vallentyne.com\/blog\/2006\/10\/13\/10-foot-tall-dope-plants-stump-troops\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Foot Tall Dope Plants stump troops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An article this morning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2006\/WORLD\/americas\/10\/12\/canada.troops.marijuana.reut\/index.html?section=cnn_topstories\">from Reuters<\/a>, Canadian troops in Afghanistan are having trouble rooting out Taliban militants from a huge forest of 10 foot tall marijuana plants.\u00c2\u00a0 It is resistant to thermal imaging and incredibly dense and so is proving difficult to successfully navigate safely.\u00c2\u00a0 In a turn that came from a plot-line on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tpbmovie.com\/\">Trailer Park Boys<\/a>, the military even tried to burn the marijuana forest, but the, ah, down wind troops (one pictures hasty &#8220;Stripes&#8221;-like maneuvers of all the troops in the area to be suddenly down wind from this operation) experienced some &#8220;ill effects&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Well duh.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s amazing that this killer Afghan weed is so potent it doesn&#8217;t actually burn very well.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We tried burning them with white phosphorous &#8212; it didn&#8217;t work. We tried burning them with diesel &#8212; it didn&#8217;t work.
