Here’s a really really mundane post.<\/p>\n

Go and find your copy of The Tragically Hip’s Up To Here.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s next to the TV, in that huge CD rack, at the bottom, between ABBA Gold and that Tone Loc CD.\u00c2\u00a0 Put it in your stereo and listen to Boots or Hearts<\/a> up nice and loud.\u00c2\u00a0 Pay close attention to the guitar in the right speaker.\u00c2\u00a0 Listen to that excellent sliding acoustic lead by Robbie Baker, wonderful and fresh to this day.\u00c2\u00a0 Man, that was a great piece.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s a spare, clean and soulful performance.\u00c2\u00a0 The lyrics are also excellent and clever.\u00c2\u00a0 The Hip don’t make songs like that one anymore.\u00c2\u00a0 I have fallen off as a fan as the years went by, but I remember hearing that song and wishing I could play like that.\u00c2\u00a0 I still wish that.<\/p>\n
