Chad Vader

I don’t think you have to be a huge nerd to find this funny, but it helps. Chad Vader is the manager at a supermarket, he doesn’t get the respect he thinks he deserves.

This is quite good, and part 2 is also entertaining.

For one thing, get a listen to the guitar strumming the Star Wars bad guy theme, that’s one of the better parts to be sure.

Lordy, Good Neighbour Jim’s on the teevee!

I spoke about GNJ last month when he was participating in the (debilitating and brutal) Primal Quest race. Well, it turns out the folks at the Weather Network liked the cut of Jim’s jib (I can’t imagine why, but I guess his jib can’t be all bad; Ali did get hitched with the guy) and thought they should be asking him and the team some questions.

Very cool stuff, congrats to Jim and thanks for leaving the helmet on, since after racing in that heat, I’m thinking the hairdo is probably one of the first things to go.

F’in Friday

This is a family blog of course, so I try to keep the sailor talk to a minimum. This has to do with the inevitability of one of the kids finding and reading these posts later on, and more or less walking the walk. So, here’s hoping the kids never find this post.

Remember The Big Lebowski? Bet you never realized how many times they said the F-word in that movie. Well, check this out. The F-ing Short version of the Big Lebowski. It’s the entire movie edited down to show only the times the actors utter the F-word. It’s pretty good, actually, and it still takes over 2 minutes to get through them all. They sort of take on a life of their own after a minute, and have a rhythm and patter that is almost hypnotic. In a sweary, filthy kind of way.

So, there you go.

Ask a Wilson, he’ll tell ya

Wilson is a big Ask A Ninja fan. He wrote me today to make sure I watched the newest episode:

“I particularly like the most recent clip. It’s got a little bit of everything, even a Bon Jovi reference (see if you can spot it)”

Kind of like an Easter Egg hunt, except that when you find an egg the bunny kills you. One thing I have noticed, is the Ninja sort of getting a little, well, portly? Maybe it’s my imagination, and whatever you do, don’t tell him.

Anyway, see for yourself.

Random Video Round Up

This is basically a collection of strange videos that I haven’t had time to mention before.

The Little Girl Giant is a very trippy, and sometimes creepy video of a performance that is unlike anything I have ever seen. It’s hypnotic actually, and is a real testament to the performers, because that girl looks real after a while.

Then a couple of firearm related videos: first is a marketing video for a shotgun, but what gets me is the guy they get to demonstrate the gun. This guy is an amazing shot. Check out the redneck tricks, throwing up (by hand) 7 or 8 skeets and shooting them himself before they fall, throwing up a golf ball and shooting it a couple of times, even calling the direction he is going to deflect the ball, that’s an incredible display of talent, no matter how red your neck is.

Finally some trippy slow motion bullet video. Pretty standard stuff, but it looks cool.

That’s it.
